"My boyfriend Josh and I both went to Dr. Lee to get our eyes done.  Josh did his procedure first.  The doctor and staff were very friendly and explained different options for him since he was not a good candidate for lasik.  After letting him weigh the pros and cons of each, Josh decided to have PRK done.  Everyone at the clinic did their best to make him feel comfortable, and explained to us in detail the post-op procedures. 

The procedure itself was very fast, maybe 15-20 minutes.  Then he received different eye drops and goggles to sleep at nights following the procedure.  Since it was PRK, the recovery was longer, but his eye sight got better day by day, and Dr. Lee gave him his cell phone number in case of emergency.  Josh was very satisfied with his experience, and went back to the clinic for numerous check ups afterwards.  He now has 20/20 vision and it has changed his life.

About a month later, having seen such a positive experience, I decided to have my eyes done with Dr. Lee as well.  Since I was able to get lasik, my recovery was almost instant.  I was very nervous before I went in, but the staff and doctor were able to make me feel comfortable.  Dr. Lee explained what he was doing throughout the whole procedure, and gave me words of encouragement.  Before I knew it, it was finished!  And as soon as I opened my eyes, I could see better than I could ever remember. 

I was advised to put in different eye drops in my eyes as well following the procedure, and within a few days I was able to see clearly with no fog.  It's now been 2 weeks since the surgery and I still keep thinking I have contacts in my eyes since I can see so perfectly.  Josh and I are both very happy about our procedures, and we highly recommend Dr. Lee's for his skills and patience, as well as his friendly staff!"

"When I was thinking about getting my eyes done, there were two issues: could I get up the courage to do it, and if so, who would be my doctor?  After meeting Dr. Lee, I had my answers.

For years, I had thought about getting laser surgery, but was too scared--I had trouble putting eye drops in, so the idea of someone touching my eyes was petrifying. However, my sister met Dr. Lee and did the surgery and said I should meet with him.

"This is Suman Chittimuri, working as a software engineer in a company based out of LA. I was wearing spectacles since my childhood and it has been almost 15 years. Since then I used to hate my glasses and always wished not to have them on me. I started using contact lens for a while but they were very difficult to handle and believe me they were really cumbersome. I tried all my options to get rid of these spects.I visited of couple of doctors back in India and no one had given me a positive response and also they were not confident that they would correct my sight to perfection. With my high number (-6.5 both eyes) and thin cornea combination it was a tough case to handle. I also visited couple of doctors here in US and they suggested having PRK and also didn’t promise me perfect sight. PRK sounded scary to me.

One of my colleague referred Dr.Lee at California Center and I happened to visit Dr Lee hospital. On the first visit, after of couple of tests Dr.Lee assured that I can have my normal sight back but with my high correction and thin cornea he said that I may have to undergo surgery twice. Before deciding I had visited Dr Lee twice, Dr and his staff were so courteous to clarify all my questions. Finally I made up my mind to undergo surgery.

On the day of surgery (06 Dec 2006), I went to hospital along with friends and I was one hour before my surgery. There were some pre operation steps and moment has come. I stepped into the operation theatre and operation was for 15 minutes. It was over even before I realized. Right after the surgery I was able to notice significant improvement in my vision. I was under medication that night and next day morning I was able to see almost everything. It is a great feeling. I had follow up check up on the next day and believe it or not I have 20/20 vision in both eyes. It is already six months now and I had three follow up check ups. No side effects and going great. On top of it there was no necessity for me to undergo second touch up surgery.

So my suggestion is that if you are thinking getting rid of your glasses visit Dr Lee. If he says that you are a suitable candidate for surgery, don’t think twice, go for it. Dr Lee and his staff will take good care of you."
